7/12/2016 - Crime Alert Tip #16-020, Commercial Burglary, CHPD, Case 16-05348

The Citrus Heights Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify  the suspects involved in this crime.

On June 21, 2016, at about 2:40 AM, 2 unknown suspects gained entry to El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant, 5637 Sunrise Boulevard Citrus Heights, through an unlocked back door. An empty cash drawer, an unknown amount of alcohol and other unknown items were removed from the building.

Suspect #1 is a White male adult with dark hair, thin build and wearing an Olive Green T-shirt and blue jeans. This subject had something in his right ear, possibly a blue tooth device, and  had a flashlight with him.

Suspect #2 is a White male adult with dark hair, closely shaven, thin build and wearing a red American Eagle hoodie and blue jeans.

The Citrus Heights Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify  the suspects involved in this crime.

On July 4th, 2016 between 6:07 PM and 6:28 PM, two male suspects entered Walmart Neighborhood Market, 6197 Sunrise Blvd Citrus Heights, twice.  On both occasions, the suspects went directly to the rear office and stole 3 Motorola M9090-G bar-code scanners and 6 Motorola MC40 touch/flat screen bar-code scanners.  They left in a green 1990`s to early 2000`s extended cab Ford Ranger truck.

Suspect #1:  Hispanic Male between 25 - 35 years of age, 5`10" tall and weighing 225 - 240 lbs.  He has black short hair, full beard (bushy), and was wearing a black T-shirt with yellow and red "propeller" and baggy shorts with dark high top shoes.

Suspect #2: White or Hispanic Male, 27 - 32 years of age, 5`07" tall and weighing 180 lbs.  He has short dark hair, long sideburns, and has noticeably protruding ears.  He was wearing a black ball cap, black T-shirt, baggy shorts and red sneakers.

The California Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help to solve this case.

On June 27, 2016, at 9:50 PM, a white Chevrolet truck traveling on Power Inn Road south of Gerber Road struck and severely injured a male bicyclist.  The white Chevrolet truck fled the scene following the collision.

The single cab Chevrolet truck was described by witnesses as possibly to have out-of-state plates similar to BKY9846 and was white in color with part of the vehicle painted with white spray paint (see sample photo). 

The driver was described by witnesses as a white male approximately 50 years of age with curly, bushy grayish-brown hair and a beard.

6/7/2016 - Crime Alert Tip 16-017, Sexual Assault, SPD CASE # 16-159878

 The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying and locating a sexual assault suspect.

On Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 12:03 a.m., officers responded to the 4900 block of Mack Road regarding a robbery.  Officers contacted the female victim who had sustained non-life threatening-injuries and it Was immediately confirmed she had been sexually assaulted. 

During the preliminary investigation, it was determined the victim was walking through an apartment complex when a male suspect approached her from behind armed with a knife.  The suspect stole the victim’s cell phone and sexually assaulted her.  After the assault, the suspect fled on foot.

This composite sketch depicts what the suspect is believed to look like and is based on the victim’s account of the assault.  The suspect is described as a Black male, in his 20’s, 5’8”-5’9” tall, and with skinny build.  The suspect wore a black colored baseball-style hat with red colored horizontal strips, black t-shirt, black pea-coat style jacket and black pants.

6/1/2016 - Crime Alert Tip #16-017, Homicide, SPD Case# 16-145083

SUMMARY:  The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the Community’s help for any information concerning the homicide described below;

On Saturday, May 21, 2016, at approximately 8:01 am, a stabbing occurred at Ahern Street and ‘A” Street (in downtown Sacramento) while several homeless people were waiting in line for a free food distribution. The suspect was standing in line approximately 10-15 people away from the food table when the victim apparently cut in line in front of the suspect. The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back.

The suspect was seen walking northbound Ahern towards North “B” Street immediately after the stabbing still holding the knife in his hand. Witnesses lost sight of the suspect in the crowd and he was able to flee the area before police arrived.
Suspect is described as: Male Asian, mid 30’s to early 40’s, approximately 5’-5”, skinny build, short “buzz” hair , wearing a brown short sleeve button-up shirt, tan of gray colored long shorts and flip-flops.

Caution: Subject should be considered armed and dangerous. Knife used in the crime was still in the suspect’s possession when he fled the scene.

The Citrus Heights Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating these suspects.

On Saturday, May 21, 2016, two suspects entered Walmart, 7010
Auburn Blvd., and used an unknown toolkey to open multiple unattended cash registers and steal money from the drawers.  The same two suspects also committed the same crime at a Walmart in North Highlands.  Monetary loss of approximately $5,100.

Suspect 1:  Black male Adult wearing dark-colored short-sleeved shirt
and baseball-style hat and possibly gray camouflage pants.

Suspect 2:  Black male Adult, wearing two-toned gray and maroon long-sleeve shirt with possible wording of “Stay Humble Hustle Hard” printed on the front, and blue jean pants.

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the
 community’s help in locating this suspect.

On April 13, 2016, at approximately 10:30 AM, an armed suspect entered a business at 1010 El Camino Avenue.  The suspect approached the owner and pointed a handgun at her and demanded money.  The victim complied and gave the suspect money.  He left the store and got on a bike and rode east on El Camino Avenue.

The suspect is described as a White male, 5’ 05” tall, with a small build.

The Sacramento Police department is seeking the Community`s help in identifying the subject shown in this photo. 

On November 29, 2015, at 1:30 A.M. at the Iron Horse Tavern, 1800 15th Street, downtown Sacramento, a fight ensued and the unidentified male subject involved. This person needs to be identified so detectives can interview him. Prior to this incident the subjects involved in this incident attended a 2006 Rio Americano High School Reunion.   


The suspect was described as a male White adult, 25-30 years old, 6’-2” tall, brown hair and clean shaven

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the  community’s help in locating two robbery suspects.

On Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 1:42 p.m., two male suspects entered McDonald’s (8020 Fruitridge Road) armed with firearms.  The suspects removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the registers and fled west bound on Fruitridge Road.

The first suspect was described as a Black male in his late teens to early 20s, 5’ 05” to 5’ 06” tall, with a thin build.  This suspect was last seen wearing a black ski mask and a black, long-sleeved shirt.

The second suspect was described as a Black male, in his 20s, 5’10” tall, with a heavy build.  This suspect was seen wearing a black t-shirt.

The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community`s help in locating a commercial burglary suspect who was captured on video surveillance breaking into the Kobe Steak and Sushi restaurant at 9134 E. Stockton Blvd.

Detectives believe that the suspect is responsible for at least four commercial burglaries that have taken place between April 12th and April 23rd. The suspect may also be responsible for other burglaries throughout the region.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, 5’6”, 150-160 pounds.   An associated vehicle has been described as a gold or silver four-door vehicle.

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department is looking for the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible for this crime. 

On February 28, 2016, the suspect opened the door at Farrell’s Ice Cream on Watt Avenue in Sacramento with a key.  He then opened the safe and removed approximately $1,700 in cash.  The suspect fled the business in a light-colored Chevrolet Tahoe GMC Yukon with an unknown place.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male in his 20’s, about 6’ tall, weighing 180 pounds.

The California Highway Patrol is looking for witnesses and/or information regarding a  Hit and Run collision.

On April 9, 2016, at approximately 10:06 PM, a pedestrian crossing the street at the intersection of 47th Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard was struck and killed by a passing motorist traveling eastbound on 47th Avenue.  Following the collision, the vehicle, described as a silver sedan, fled the scene eastbound on 47th Avenue.

3/24/2016 - Crime Alert Tip #16-007,Homicide, SSD Case


The 25 year old victim of the March 23rd shooting has succumbed to his injuries and died at a local hospital.

A little after 2:00 p.m. on March 23, 2016, the Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call regarding shots fired in the 4000 block of Renick Way in North Highlands.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. They located the 25 year old male in the driveway of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Deputies immediately began life saving measures. Sacramento Metro Fire responded and transported the victim to the hospital.

Witnesses observed the suspect walk up to the victim and shoot him. He was only described as a black male adult. The suspect fled on foot towards Harrison Street. It is unknown whether he entered a vehicle. The motive of the shooting is still unknown at this time.

The identity of the victim in this case will be made available by the Sacramento County Coroner’s office, after notification has been made to his next of kin.

3/22/2016 - Crime Alert Tip #16-006 Armed Kidnapping SPD Case 16-74817

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify the person responsible for this crime.

On March 16, 2015, at about 7:21 AM, Sacramento Police officers responded to the area of 45th and M Streets in the East area of Sacramento regarding an attempted kidnapping.  The juvenile female victim was walking east on M St. approaching 45th St. when she was approached by a man in a dark-colored sedan.  The male attempted to pull the victim into a vehicle.  He was armed with a dark semi-automatic handgun. 

The suspect is described as a light-skinned mixed-race male (Black/Asian) adult in his 20’s with acne scars on his face, 5’ 06” tall, thin build.  He was wearing a burgundy hoodie and dark gray beanie.  The suspect fled west on M St.

After reviewing video surveillance, investigators believe the vehicle is a 1999-2007 Volkswagen Jetta.  The picture is the actual suspect vehicle.

On December 5, 2014, at about 08:00AM, victim Robert "Tito" Santos was murdered in his home located at 1455 68th Avenue in Sacramento by an unknown assailant.
