AUGUST, 2012 Crime Alert Tips were responsible for: Following a homicide on Traction Avenue in Del Paso Heights, Detectives circulated a flier asking for help in identifying the suspect. Crime Alert received a tip about the suspect’s location and vehicle. He was caught after a foot pursuit and just prior to a K-9 being deployed. Following his arrest, it was discovered he had installed surveillance cameras, booby-trapped the area, and had a loaded handgun.
